PASSIONATE - INDEPENDANT - HAÍŁZAQV - DISCIPLINED
For as long as I can remember I’ve had a deep appreciation for the beauty of culture, nature and people.
I received my first camera as a gift from my mother when I was 8 and quickly fell in love with capturing life. I learned to live for the moments when I’d lose myself in the act of creation.

Later in my artistic journey I started exploring the world of film and video, expanding the limits of my artistic expression past just photography.
I graduated Southern Alberta Institute of Technologies’s Film & Video Production Program in early 2023 where I learned the intricacies of the film industry. Soon after spent some time training in the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG) 669 Camera Trainee Program.

I am currently embracing the profoundly meaningful route of community oriented media projects for my home nation in Bella Bella (WágỊísỊa), BC. I’m committed to fulfilling my nation, the Haíɫzaqv people’s media needs first. I understand the incredible value in uplifting voices through art and providing perspectives otherwise unseen.
in Haíɫzaqvḷa, Dúqvḷá means to see.
To me, seeing is learning. It is feeling. It's creating and being.

In my mind the most important attribute an artist needs to succeed is passion. Today I’m lucky enough to be doing my passion as a career and I intend to share my art with the world one project at a time.
